Telecommunications

Types
telecommunications
There are many types of telecommunication cables which include transmission lines, wave guides and optical fibers. Transmission lines are special cables that transmit currents with high frequency. You need transmission lines for connecting receivers with antenna and radio transmitters, computer network connections, high speed computer data buses, administering cable TV signals and trunklines routing calls between telephone switching centers. Wave guides are a structure that guide waves such as sound waves. They are used to distribute radio and microwaves. Optical fibers are transparent fibers made up of plastic or silica which can be flexible. They are similar to waveguides which allow them to distribute light between two ends of the fiber.

Quality Control

Many manufacturers and suppliers of telecommunication cables are required to maintain a high level of quality control. QMS also known as Quality Management System, provides the latest issue of standard documents such as TL 9000 and ISO 9000. TL 9000 adds certain telecom measurements and requirements to generic ISO 9000. Whereas ISO 9000 is designed to meet the regulatory and statutory requirements that relates to a particular product. It was put in place to help businesses ensure the needs of customers are met. Product and Qualification are the two types of reliability and quality requirements. Quality requires proof of processing and design, this should be checked regularly as needed to ensure the best performance. Product requirements are a bit more strict as they must be met on every deliverable product, using quality control methods.

Telecommunication cables are highly in demand, something as simple as having access to telephone and cable service would not be present today without it. For businesses and other needs of the telecommunication cable it is recommended that you go with a company that specializes in the making and distribution of these cables to ensure the highest quality.
